Vampiria Magazine was born as fanzine in Donostia in 1993 with only one objective: support the underground scene, the spanish one as much as the international one... after five issues and a few specials, in 2002 we launched our first website, oriented to complete and extend the content of our fanzine...
Between 2002 and 2005 we published our best two issues, placing us as one of the more respected publications in our country, and being distributed, not only here in Spain, also in the most Hispano-American countries and in certain places all around Europe... being a magazine written only in Spanish!! At the end of 2005, the former editor and founder of the magazine and the once main designer begin two new projects, the extreme metal distributor Indar Productions and the label Erzsebeth Records, besides their work in the mailorder catalogue Shop Circus... Vampiria Magazine is put on ice for about two years...
At the beginning of 2008, seeing that people still ask us about our publication, that bands and labels still send us their promotional stuff, and that our forgotten website still have an incredible number of visits everyday, we have joined forces again part of the writers of the last period in order to reorganize the staff and give a second chance to Vampiria Magzine, now only as a webzine...
SIf you are reading this, you have entered the website through the English version, but you will see that the most of the reviews and part of the interviews are in Spanish... well, we want to maintain the same style of the past, so we have focused our site to the Spanish readers, here in our country and in Hispano-America... but we want also to keep open a window to the rest of the world, so we have developed an English version, first to help the bands and labels that send us stuff to see and recover the work we have done for them, but also as a sample of what we do for everyone interested...
Because the objective nowadays is the same than in 1993, to write about the music we enjoy, to present these musical projects that have no place in other publications and, over all, to be honest with our own ideas in our reviews and comments... if you want only good words and superficial reviews, this is not the best choice, but if you want a deep dissection of your music and a honest evaluate, and you don’t mind to read also negative aspects, be welcomed to Vampiria Magazine...
